CONFERENCE - In-Person

What are the conference dates?
The conference will now kick off at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19 and end on Friday, July 21 at 1:00 p.m. EDT.
What is the conference format?

The conference is in person with an option of limited live streaming of Key Notes, Plenary and Panel sessions. 

Can I change my registration from in-person to virtual?

Yes! You can change from registration by doing the following:

  1. Locate your reference number from your original registration confirmation. This will be needed to make the change.
  2. Click this link: https://na.eventscloud.com/742771
  3. Click Modify Registration
  4. Click Live Stream Option Only
  5. Click Submit

Your change will be processed and a refund sent to your payment type.

What time zones will be used?
The conference schedule will refer to Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
What is the deadline for Abstract Submissions?
The deadline for abstract submissions is Friday, April 21, 2023.
Do panel and poster submissions need to be for in-person, or can they be virtual?
All presentations (panel, poster, pre-conference workshops) will be for in-person presentation only.
Is there an additional cost to attend the pre-conference workshops?
Yes, the additional cost for the pre-conference workshops is $85 early bird and $100 regular rate. You can sign up and pay for a pre-conference workshop during your registration for the conference.
What COVID-19 Safety Measures will be in Place?

Your health and safety during the 2023 NCHCMM is our top priority.  While there will be no verification of individual vaccine status, NCHCMM strongly encourages attendees to Stay Up to Date with Your COVID-19 Vaccines | CDC. “Up to Date” means COVID-19 primary series vaccines and a COVID-19 booster for everyone ages 5 years and older, if eligible.

While attending the conference, if you need a facial mask and/or have forgotten to bring one, NCHCMM will have a limited number available onsite.

Can I tell what sessions will be Live Streamed?

Yes, Live streamed sessions are annotated in Orange on the Schedule at a Glance - View Live Streamed under Agenda.

As a virtual attendee, would I be able to ask questions or participate in discussions?

No, featured sessions will be limited to live streaming.

I am registered for in-person, can I switch my registration to Live Streaming?

Yes, you can edit your registration from In-Person to Streaming Only option.  You will receive a refund for the difference the same manner in which your registration was paid. 

How do I access the Live Streaming?

Once you are registered for Streaming Only, you will receive an email with links to the live streaming. 

Registration

Do I have to register or pay registration fees for the conference if my panel or poster submissions is accepted?
All submitting authors (panel/poster) are required to register and pay related registration rates for the conference. NCHCMM does not provide a travel allowance or honorarium for presenting authors attending the conference.

*Student registration

is for persons currently enrolled full time in an undergraduate or graduate program who are actively pursuing a degree in public health or related field. Proof of current enrollment may be required.

Are meals included in the cost of registration?
Breakfast, lunch, or dinner are not provided as part of registration fees. Any reception with food is intended to be light hors d’oeuvres or desserts only and not a meal substitute. The conference will provide a morning beverage refreshment and afternoon snack on Wednesday and Thursday.

What payment types do you accept?

Credit Card Payments Only: Visa, Mastercard, American Express or by PayPal.

Payment by credit card or Paypal. Your payment will be made to the National Public Health Information Coalition (NPHIC). This transaction will appear on your statement as PAYPAL *NCHCMM NCHCMM ***Please note that you will receive two emails - a receipt from This email address is being protected from spambots. Can I register now and add payment later?

No, payment is needed at time of registration.

Refunds/Cancellation

What is the registration cancellation/refund policy?

Refunds are limited to registration fees paid. Refunds will be made in the manner they were paid. To qualify for a full refund minus a $75 administrative fee, written cancellation must be received by the National Conference on Health Communication, Marketing, and Media registration manager no later than Friday, June 23, 2023. Cancellations received between June 24, 2023 and July 14, 2023 inclusive will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given after July 14, 2023.
